Honeymoon

Our Honeymoon was so much fun!  We went on a seven day cruise in the Western Caribbean.

Here are some pictures of us on the ship.  There are way to many pictures for me to put on our blog so I picked some of my favorites.  The ship was amazing.  Matt surprised me with a suite, so our room was beautiful we had a balcony and big vanity area and a couch and the bathroom was big and had a jetted tub it was so great!  We loved it.

Our first day was a fun day at sea we spent it relaxing and exploring the ship.  Then our second day was in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
Here is a picture of us hanging out with some locals.

The first thing we did in Jamaica was go to Dunn's River Falls.
It was very cool we got to clime up this river that had all these really
pretty water falls.  This was our favorite part of Jamaica.

After the falls we went to a Jamaican beach and played in the water.
Matt go a little friendly with one of the local beach dancer ladies.
We then went into town to do some shopping.  We didn't enjoy
that part as much as the rest.  The people in Jamaica were
very persistent in getting you to buy things you didn't really
want.  Anyway we wanted to get some Jamaican fruit to eat.
So we asked this lady that was walking past us and she was nice and
pointed us in the right direction.  Unfortunately a man hear us asking
for directions and rushed up quickly to help us.  He told us to follow him
and he would tell us where to find the fruit.  Well Matt and I being the
trusting people that we are followed him.  He did take us to a market
that had fruit.  But he kept leading us deeper and deeper into this local
market.  We began to get a little nervous when we didn't know where we
were and this guy was taking us through peoples yard and showing us
plants and all kinds of things.  He kept saying "I am showing you real
Jamaica"  Finally after probably close to an hour of this we could see
were he main road that we needed to be was so we told the man we
needed to be getting back.  He said "Ok I took care of you so you take
care of me"  We though ok well he was nice and spent all this time with us
so we will give his 5 bucks.  We turns out he wanted us to pay him $40 each.
We were upset and shocked that he wanted so much.  We told him no and gave
him $8 dollars and walked quickly out of there.  He was mad and yelled at us
and followed us for a while, but luckily we got out of there safely and headed straight
for the ship.  After that we were done with Jamaica.  It was beautiful and we loved the
Dunn's River Falls, but we did not enjoy being hassled by all the people there.

The third day of the cruise was Grand Cayman.  We really loved it here.
We spent the day at the beach.  The people in Grand Cayman were very
nice and accommodating.  After we spent most the day on the beach we
went back into town and walked around for a while.  We also went to
Margaritaville and swam in the pool and went down the water slide.
Luckily for us it was election day in Grand Cayman so no alcohol was
aloud to be sold.  So everyone at Margaritaville was drinking fruity
virgin drinks just like us :)

The forth day was another day at sea relaxing by the pool, enjoying the food
and going to shows and activities.
The fifth day was our last day at a port.  Our last stop was Belize.
We loved Belize.  We went and saw the Mayan Temples and also got a city tour.
It is very third world there and it was crazy to see people living like that.
The people were so friendly though and they seemed to be happy with the things
that they do have.  Matt's friend from Fresno is serving a mission there so we were
kinda hoping to run into him because the city of Belize is not very big.  We did not
him but we did ask our guide if he know of the missionaries and he did.  He said
they are good people and they never give up.  We were happy to hear that he knew
who they were.  He said "Oh yea the white guys that ride around in nice cloths on
their bikes"  We said "Yea thats them" haha.

Formal Night
We got a cute honeymoon cake.

Yay Married!

Our Wedding day was so beautiful!  We couldn't have asked for anything better.  We were so happy that almost all of the people we wanted to be there were able come share the day with us.  It was for sure the happiest day of my life so far.  I feel so blessed that I am able to share the rest of eternity with Matt he is so great and I am so lucky to have him.  Married life it just what I hoped it would be and BETTER!

Here is the group picture at the temple I would post more, but it just takes to long so I will put them on facebook I think most of you can see them there.

Thanks again to everyone who helped with everything it was perfect!  And also thanks to those who traveled far to come be here with us on that special day we can't tell you how glad we are that you were there!

Planet Utah Award Winner

On May 7th I was awarded Associate of the year at my Hotel.  It was this really cool big banquet thing that all the Marriott's in the state of Utah go to and I was able to bring my family and have a very nice meal.  I got a cool plaque.  I was nominated because I am the housekeeping supervisor and in 5 months out of the year that we had been open we had gotten 100% completely clean rooms from our guest surveys and that is like unheard of haha.  So yea it felt pretty nice :)
