Lake Powell

In August we went to Lake Powell with some of our friends from Fresno. We had a really great time. We went wake boarding, wake surfing, tubing, jet skiing and lots of other fun fun stuff!

What We've been up to.

On July 28th we went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house. It is a beautiful temple. I love that anywhere I drive in Utah County I see at lease 5 churches sticking out of neighborhoods and there are temple any direction you look now. From the point of the mountain I can see 4 temples it is crazy but so so cool! I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to be able to go to the sacred Temple. It is such a perfect place and I get to feel the spirit and be reminded of the things that I am here to do.

On Aug. 1st we went with Tyler and Whitney to this tumbling gym place in Orem. It was really fun. Matt and Tyler enjoyed it the most because they are more daring then the girls, But thats ok it was fun to watch them. They also had those cool huge sumo wrestling outfits so we took turns wrestling. Whitney has those pictures on her camera but we looked pretty good.

On Aug. 8th I got tickets from my work to go see the Salt Lake Real soccer game. They played Seattle and won 1-0. It is a pretty exciting sport even though there is not a lot of scoring. There were some crazy fans that chanted things and had drums they pounded on the whole time. During half time they did like a parade think it was way cool. I told Matt that soccer games remind me of Quiddich in Harry Potter because everyone wears scarves and track jackets like at Quiddich games. Plus the Salt Lake Real are the same colors as Griffidor. Haha ok I probably sound like a big dork, but that is what it reminded me of. Only if Luna would have been there with a big Lion head! haha

The Polifka Parents

   Frank and Carol (Matt's Parents) were able to come visit over the weekend of the 24th.  We had a great time with them here.  We had lots of good meals and plenty of fun times just playing games and hanging out.  On Saturday Stefanie (Matt's sister) was able to get tickets from her work to go to Lagoon so we spent most of the day at the water park and riding roller costers.   It was great to see them and have them here to visit.  We can't wait till the next time we get to see them in December in Hawaii YAY!

   On July 18th we had a fun day out in the sun.  We started the day with a fun tube trip down the river with our friend Jordan.  Although the water was really really cold it was warm enough outside that we still had lots of fun.   After we got out of the river we realized that we left the keys to the car at the bottom of the run in the other car at the top.  So Matt and Jordan had to hitch hike back to the other car.  Luckily in Provo their all many nice, trusting people so it didn't take long for someone to pick them up.

   After that adventure we met Tyler and Whitney and went to Jordan's singles ward activity.  as you can  see a giant slip and slide in the park.  These picture really don't do it justice it was huge and quite scary.
